In her role as Director of Workforce Development and Strategic Partnerships at the Urban League of Long Island, Nene oversees programs that empower underserved communities, foster economic growth, and build equitable access to opportunities.
Before joining the Urban League of Long Island, Nene served as a Business Services Representative with the Town of Hempstead’s HempsteadWorks program. During her tenure, she designed and implemented initiatives that aligned with local business needs, connecting job seekers with meaningful employment opportunities and advancing economic development. She also excelled at building partnerships with businesses, government agencies, and community organizations to meet workforce demands and promote diversity and inclusion.
