Allow us to reintroduce ourselves- we are The Urban League of Long Island. For over 50+ years, we have been dedicated to uplifting ALL communities across Long Island, driving equity, opportunity and lasting change.
Long Island, a region rich with world-class research institutions, top-tier medical facilities, premier sports complexes, and renowned academic institutions, has long been a hub for innovation and opportunity. With approximately eight million residents spanning Brooklyn, Queen, Nassau & Suffolk counties, it is a place where progress and prosperity flourish.
Yet, despite its achievements, the American Dream remains elusive for many. Economic disparity, systemic inequities, and historical barriers continue to create challenges for underservered communities.
The Urban League of Long Island (ULoLI) has been at the forefront of addressing these disparities, advocating for equal access to education, employment, housing, and economic opportunity.
For over five decades, the Urban League of Long Island has stood as a beacon of hope, transforming lives through programs in workforce development, youth mentorship, small business support, and advocacy. Like a phoenix raising, the organization continues to evolve, ensuring that Long Island remains a place where all families can prosper, opportunities are accessible to everyone, and the promise of the American Dream is within reach for future generations.
